Celtic Jewellery
Through our jewellery we are not only re-creating the past but continuing a living art, created by modern craftspeople for the people of today.
As the years went by, religious scholars and monks adopted the traditions of Celtic art, creating illuminated texts such as the Lindisfarn Gospels and the Book of St.Teilo.
Over time the Celtic cross evolved with the circle that surrounds the cross symbolising the "great wheel of life" - a belief that pre-dates Christianity. These carved stone crosses are scattered throughout Wales and are common sites in our churchyards today. Examples are found at Llandaff, Carew, Penally, Nevern, Llangenith and Llowes.
